Kaycee Butt enters her fourth year as a full-time assistant coach for the Defiance College softball program and sixth year overall in 2017, after concluding her playing career with the Yellow Jackets in 2011. In her first two years, Butt served as a graduate assistant under Holava.

During her playing time with the Jackets, Butt helped the team to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Championships in 2008 and 2009 and earned All-HCAC accolades during her senior campaign.

The outstanding work on the field, in the classroom and in the community does not overshadow Butt’s coaching background. The Hilliard, Ohio native gained valuable experience while assisting with a variety of softball camps and fall leagues hosted by DC.

Butt graduated from the College with a degree in sport management. While serving as a graduate assistant, Butt completed a master’s degree in education.
